Hello my friend! We finally have arrived to the perfect time and perfect understanding of our duties to evangelize fully in the land of Malawi! What an exciting journey we are beginning!
Let me introduce you to my partner in this great ministry that is beginning to evangelize the entire land of Malawi, according to God’s will!
I’ve known Jimmy for about four years during a growing time for Becker Bible Ministries. Every time Jimmy and I separated our lives and went into different directions trying to figure out how the Lord wanted us to move next, we would run into each other again and again. We heard the Holy Spirit when He called me a Sower, and Jimmy a Harvester, and we tried various ways to do that. Two years ago, a great deal of chaos and onery ones tried to control us to scam money and attention and stop our ministries. Jimmy and I separated again about a year ago, completely perplexed of how to accomplish this great assignment in Malawi. In that time, the Lord worked on both of us to fully identify what He wanted to do with Malawi, and how he wanted us to work together. Some bystanders might call us a bit stupid for not figuring it out earlier. I like to think it wasn’t God’s timing until right now! So here we are, forming a partnership of evangelization like the Lord wanted us to do in the first place!
Before Jimmy Chirambo was saved, he was a drunkard. Then he was blessed by the LORD God to receive salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior!
His salvation experience In his own words
- I received the Lord Jesus to be my personal Lord and savior of my life at an overnight prayer meeting.
- I didn’t go for prayers myself but was just escorting my wife and children.
- I was forced with the inner drive to reach at the place of overnight prayer meeting.
- I found the Pastor preaching salvation message.
- As I listened attentive to the message, I felt something burning in my heart (my inner me).
- The Pastor called people to the Altar for a prayer of confession and repentance.
- I had a very great inner conviction.
- I was the first to go to the Altar for confession and repentance.
- This was on 31st December, 2007
- Baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit in the same year.
- During Holy Spirit baptism I saw something like a lightening falling on me, then I found my self laying on the ground.
- After the baptism of the Holy Spirit I became a diligent bible student.
- All my friends I used to chat with before I got saved left me.
- The Lord started giving me new friends (saved ones).
- The gifts of the Holy Spirit started showing up
- My Pastor started giving me time to preach in other Sunday services.
Pretty powerful testimony by Jimmy! Isn’t our God the greatest!!! Jimmy and I are remarkably alike in many of the ways that others don’t match us. Our personalities and our beliefs are similar, and we both receive the teachings of the Holy Spirit in a way that connects with both us together. No matter how hard we tried, God kept our ministry to Malawi in the forefront of our minds and souls. This post is the first post of many about Jimmy, to introduce you to the Senior Pastor in charge of this great evangelization efforts in Malawi.
I have known him long enough to know he is faithful to Christ and his teachings. I can hardly wait to introduce more about this honest preacher to you in the next post!
